it's just crazy how, whenever i try to put God inside this realistic small little box in my head, He shows me that He just doesn't fit.
"sorry i shattered your box to bits there sheila but i just don't live in boxes."
point taken.
so much has happened within the past two weeks to boggle my mind. and none of it is chance, or luck or fate, as everyone seems to like to believe. if these things had happened to you, i think you'd feel the same way i do. using henry's expression *BOOM* =P

Lessons learnt:
1. expectations are very misleading. what you expect can be totally the opposite of what actually happens.
2. close girl friends are absolutely #1. too bad i have so very few -.-
3. people are met in the most unimaginable way possible. i think i'm bringing a friend to church sometime soon.
4. hey God actually gives us choices. we may actually have forks in the road where we're encouraged to go either way.
5. the ancient Mycenians were an aggressive, war-loving peoples who went out to conquer while the Creteans were an isolated population living in peaceful, unfortified palaces. -humanities 102, ancient greece.

valentines day is coming up. being the cynical and sadistic rat who lives under a rock, i dub it commercialization day, or week, or season. just like boxing day (buy-things-day) and easter (cute-bunny-buy-chocolate-day). i think that media class i took last semester totally blackwashed my view of our mass consumerism society. fight the system. don't buy anything for valentine's day.

*note: to anyone who actually knows what's been going on with me lately, no, i am not being bitter or nostalgic or angry about "all this love stuff". just the opposite actually. very happy. ~-^
